Remove the foil and cotton pad remove as much of the acrylic as possible. The guy filed and buffed way too hard causing pain. The best thing you can do is soak off on Monday and assess what is there - is the nail saveable with another overlay or will you have to cut off the free edge and redo with either a tip or sculpt.

Your nail would just be broken in the middle. That could cause a gap between the real nail and the acrylic nail. You could use an electric nail file.

I have acrylic nails i think that my real nail is broken. I would take the acrylic off but it still attached to the real nail which is pulled off from the nail bed area. Then file the top coat off.

And it has lifted my natural nail again almost entirely off the nailbed. The best way is to soak it in acetone that is kept warm by an extra hot water bowl. I have a band-aid on it holding it down but underneath my nail is full of blood.

There would be a huge crack and the nail might be hanging out that needs to be cut off before doing anything else. I was bleeding it hurts burns. Dirt and moisture could fill that gap.
