Acrylic nails during c section. Gel nail polish during c-section. Was gutted about the nail polish as I had only put it on the day before as a way of cheering me up as I was a week overdue and obviously it was a rush job.

During your hospital stay you will be assessed for your risk of thrombosis blood clot. This is the reason why acrylic nails and nail polish of any kind are asked to remove before delivery or for that matter before any kind of surgery. Depending on the hospital policy some require women to remove nail polish from fingers and toes in the event that an emergency c-section is required.
