Acrylic nails and contact lenses. Ive been practicing a new technique for doing your own acrylics at home. Now I will give you the following suggestion. Most times you only have to practice for a bit and youll get the hang of it in no time.

Place the contact directly on the eye. Be very careful when painting your nails because if your nail dries too much it will look blotchy and ugly. Thats what you see me modeling in these photos.

Touch contact lenses with the pad of finger. This is one of the easier ways to remove contacts with long nails. Fit a nail form underneath the free edge of a fingernail.

The physical stuff wont be a pain for long. I wear hard contacts where you open your eye really wide pull the outer corner and blink to pop them out but when I wore hybrid lenses they are cleaned and removed like soft lenses I used the sides of my fingers rather than the pads when I had longer nails. Who has time to think about something so trivial as contact lenses when you have brand new nails.

Same Day Eye Exams. Putting contact lenses in with acrylic long nails can be very difficult but its not impossible. These monomers remain free in the hardened acrylic which means these small molecules can penetrate the nail.

Head over to the opposite eyeball repeat and relax. Contact lenses are also a challenge to put in and take out safely with acrylics. Long nails can be particularly harsh on contact lenses.
