Acrylic Nail Broke Off Real Nail
Remove any extra glue with a Q-tip or cotton ball.
Acrylic nail broke off real nail. The best way is to soak it in acetone that is kept warm by an extra hot water bowl. The base coat can have an effect on the strength and thickness of the acrylic nail and this could mean it will peel off much more easily than normal. Press the broken piece of nail gently but firmly onto the area where it broke off for 30 to 60 seconds until it stays attached.
Acrylics can be used to lengthen the nails so your nails can still match with the rest. When the acrylic has been removed the nail technician can simply cut off the broken nail if it is over the free edge. I have acrylic nails i think that my real nail is broken.
Then wrap in aluminum foil. Thats why I cut the acrylic off as short as I could put hydrogen peroxide and covered it in bandages so like you said it wont catch on anything and lift it anymore. Squeeze the surplus again into the bowl and maintain the swab on high of the acrylic for a number of minutes.
Another thought for you - many unscrupulous salons use a liquid called MMA to create the nails. When you have scraped away the base coat the nails may seem to be peeling right away however the real damage has been done during the pulling of the acrylic nail polish remover. Glove your free hand and soak a cotton swab with the acetone.
Hit my acrylic nail and now have half my real nail and acrylic nail. Cut off as much of the fake nail as you can. I figured since nails grow my acrylic would eventually come off like in 3 weeks.

If you decide you need to remove the nail DO NOT pry it off. Clean the nail with fresh acetone and wash with soap and water.
